ALBUM REVIEW: "Fallen Angel" - Gladelle Timere, theConcreteSymphony Blog.

Don Jaymor may be swamped with self-management and PR duties, but he is first and foremost, an artist. We got a chance to catch up with the Bronx-native singer-songwriter as he caught a break from his busy schedule to chat about his latest effort "Fallen Angel." Since releasing his EP turned Deluxe Edition album "Fade" last year, Don has been quite busy networking with industry tastemakers in support of the album's singles. While it's long overdue, he's dropped visuals to a few of his previous singles including a video for his new single "Streetlyfe," released in September. Speaking with Don up-close-and-personal was exciting, the glow in his smile was evident he's comfortable in his skin as an artist, this time around. Once again, Jaymor assumes the role as sole-composer and producer of the 8-track album, delivering a blend of Contemporary R&B, Trap-Soul, Hip-Hop, and Lofi. "Working solely on this album was a learning experience, and a challenge for me to push myself meanwhile wearing multiple hats," he says. There is this sense of moodiness while listening to "Fallen Angel," which Jaymor mentions was "intentional." The lyrical journey takes the listener through multiple avenues of topics such as love lost ("Fallen Angel"), petty jealousy ("Jealous"), needing space ("On My Mind"), and taste in glamorous expensive clothes ("Fresh Versaces"). If you haven't heard of Don Jaymor before, this album is an intriguing introduction, not to mention "Fade" was pretty dope too!
